This role involves working on the Frontend as a Customer Service/Cashier, responsible for registering customer purchases, operating the Service Center, and handling tasks directly related to customer interaction at the window. These tasks include customer relations, check cashing, telephone inquiries, lottery ticket sales, selling other Service Center merchandise and services, processing merchandise returns, issuing rain checks, and other related duties. As a cashier, the primary responsibilities include understanding check-out policies and procedures, greeting customers, operating electronic registers, scanning or hand-ringing purchases, processing various payment methods, verifying checks, handling coupons and food stamps, making change, maintaining a balanced drawer, ensuring proper bagging of purchases, working FastLanes, and providing a pleasant and efficient check-out experience. In the Service Center, duties focus on direct customer interaction at the window, encompassing customer relations, check cashing, telephone services, lottery ticket sales, sales of merchandise and services, merchandise returns, and rain checks.
