About The Position

Position OverviewReporting to the Director or designate, the successful candidate is expected to: provide customer service to clients in person and over the phone, provide a positive, friendly and welcoming environment for members and visitors, sell memberships and various other services and products, collect fees for products and services, perform opening and/or closing duties as per schedules shifts, schedule various appointments for clients, give informative tours of the facility, and facilitate room set-ups.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills are essential.
  • Experience answering phones in a customer service setting is essential.
  • Ability to deal effectively with conflict is essential.
  • Grade 11, required.
  • Strong communications skills, with a good command of the English language.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and independence in assessing situations and making effective decisions.
  • A friendly and outgoing personality that supports a customer service setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with membership computer software preferred.
  • Previous experience answering phones and responding to customer inquiries in a reception desk setting preferred.
  • Minimum 1-year experience in a sales-based customer service setting preferred.
  • Leadership experience would be an asset.
