About The Position

Blossman Gas & Appliance is seeking a Service Apprentice for its growing location in Anderson, SC. This position offers a defined career path with training opportunities to progress to Service Technician, Senior Service Technician, and Master Technician. The role involves installing propane tanks for residential and commercial customers, and installing, servicing, and maintaining gas comfort equipment. Apprentices will work alongside experienced Service Technicians, participating in hands-on training, as well as classroom and online learning. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with mechanical aptitude who enjoy local work and customer service.

Requirements

Mechanical aptitude.
Customer service skills.
Occasional on-call duty.
Commitment to learning a career trade.
Positive attitude.
Prior mechanical work (preferred).
Use of hand tools (preferred).
CDL with hazmat endorsement (for Service Technician level, not apprentice).
Education markers met (for advancement).

Prior mechanical work.
Experience with hand tools.

Responsibilities

Install propane tanks for residential and commercial customers.
Install, service, and maintain gas comfort equipment such as water heaters, dryers, ranges/stoves, fireplaces, and generators.
Learn 'hands-on' the work performed daily by Service Technicians.
Participate in classroom and online learning to gain knowledge and experience.
Provide customer service.
Perform occasional on-call duty.
Be a contributing member of a team environment.
Adhere to a strong commitment to safety, consistent with company policy.
