This apprenticeship program is designed to train individuals in the essential skills needed to become a Service Technician specializing in Generators. The role involves learning to conduct all assigned work safely, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. Apprentices will attend and successfully complete required training classes, maintain a set of tools for diagnosing and assembling machine components, and perform basic equipment repair functions such as maintenance, diagnostics, and parts replacement with mentor support. The position requires working under the guidance of a qualified technician, maintaining an orderly work area, and documenting repairs and accounting for repair times using appropriate software. Additionally, apprentices will assist with facility maintenance, follow contamination control guidelines, and contribute positively to the work team.
