About The Position

As a Service & Sales Representative, you’ll play a key role at our McKinley branch in Endicott, NY, a full-service location rooted in the community where Visions first began. In this member-facing role, you’ll help individuals and families with everyday banking needs, account solutions, loan application intake, and financial wellness conversations. This is a strong opportunity for candidates with experience in banking, retail sales, customer service, hospitality, call center support, or other relationship-focused roles who are ready to grow their financial services career while making a local impact.

Requirements

  • Associate degree required with 1-3 years of related experience; 3-5 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in banking, financial services, retail sales, customer service, hospitality, call center support, or another member/customer-facing environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport, ask questions, explain information clearly, and identify member needs.
  • Comfortable balancing service and sales conversations in a professional, needs-based manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle account information, transactions, and documentation accurately.
  • Ability to learn financial products, systems, and procedures in a fast-paced branch environment.
  • Obtain notary license within 1 year of acceptance of role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs and standard office equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in customer service, retail, banking, lending, financial services, or consultative sales.
  • Prior experience opening accounts, handling cash or financial transactions, resolving customer concerns, or working toward sales/service goals is helpful.
  • Bilingual communication skills are a plus and may help support the diverse needs of members in the community.
  • Bilingual proficiency - A passing verbal assessment of language proficiency will be required during onboarding process.

Responsibilities

  • Build trusted relationships with members by listening, asking thoughtful questions, and identifying financial solutions that fit their needs.
  • Open and maintain consumer, business, and IRA accounts while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with credit union policies.
  • Support loan application intake, including consumer lending and mortgage-related needs, by gathering information and connecting members with the right resources.
  • Process and support branch transactions, account servicing, and member requests with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Have consultative conversations that help members understand products and services that may support their goals, from everyday banking to long-term financial needs.
  • Support daily branch operations, including teller/MSR coverage, member traffic flow, and operational tasks that help the team deliver consistent service.
  • Provide notary and signature guarantee services once trained and licensed, helping members access convenient support at the branch.
  • Collaborate with branch partners, insurance, investment, and mortgage resources to connect members with broader financial support when appropriate.
