About The Position

To perform home assessments and coordinate related handyman work, while occasionally executing related repairs. This role involves conducting comprehensive assessments of residential properties, documenting findings, and communicating with clients. The technician will also perform minor repairs and routine maintenance, coordinate with craftspeople, and maintain professional conduct.

Requirements

• 3 years of home maintenance, home inspection, or similar role experience.
• Basic remodeling skills needed for routine home maintenance and repairs.
• Proficient computer skills, with the ability to use or learn new software.
• Perform duties in an efficient, professional, and courteous manner.
• Excellent organization, time management, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Have your own transportation, valid class E driver’s license, auto insurance, and ability to transport yourself and materials between job sites.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, work with your hands, climb ladders, and move 50 lbs. independently for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

• Certifications in construction, home inspection, or related field preferred.
• High-school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong knowledge of residential building systems and maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of residential properties to identify potential maintenance issues.
• Document findings in detailed reports, including photographs and recommendations for repairs or improvement using custom CRM and other software.
• Provide clients with an overview of the condition of their home and discuss any immediate concerns.
• Execute minor repairs and routine maintenance tasks such as changing air filters, replacing light fixtures, caulking, patching drywall, and performing basic carpentry.
• Coordinate schedules with clients and craftspeople to perform repairs and make small improvements.
• Communicate with clients to keep them informed and up to date on services provided.
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, cheerfulness, and adherence to safety procedures.
• Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for growth.
• Other miscellaneous tasks as requested.
