About The Position

The Service & Maintenance Tech is responsible for maintaining facilities by performing light electrical, plumbing, and carpentry. This role provides general maintenance support to sites by painting, building/repairing structures, interiors, shelving, and cabinets, as well as cleaning and other basic maintenance tasks. The technician will also maintain store equipment by troubleshooting, repairing, cleaning, and performing preventive maintenance. Additionally, they will facilitate repairs by keeping an organized vehicle and maintaining adequate stock parts through in-house ordering and by contacting service vendors for supplies and materials. This role requires maintaining continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Participation in training for existing and new equipment is also required. The position contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 3-5 years experience in the General Maintenance field preferred.
  • HVAC/R, Electrical, and /or Plumbing experience a plus.
  • Must have the manual dexterity to operate equipment, work in confined spaces, able to use power and hand tools, required crouching and/or crawling, able to use a ladder, and must be able to lift up 80 lbs.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple, changing priorities and ability to work independently.
  • Requires driving a company vehicle to different store locations throughout the division which include but are not limited to the geographic areas listed above.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk and/or hear.
  • Frequently required to use his/her hands in order to handle or grasp items.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with both hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to lift items that may weigh up to 80 lbs.
