About The Position

We are seeking a customer-focused and organized Major Mechanical Service Advisor to join our service team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary liaison between customers and technicians, ensuring a positive service experience while maximizing efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Previous automotive service advisor, service writer, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of automotive systems and maintenance requirements.
• Computer proficiency and experience with dealership management systems preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally.
• Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle service needs.
• Prepare repair orders and communicate service recommendations, estimates, and timelines.
• Coordinate with technicians regarding diagnostics, repair progress, and completion schedules.
• Explain maintenance and repair recommendations in a clear, customer-friendly manner.
• Monitor repair status and keep customers informed throughout the service process.
• Review completed repairs with customers and ensure all questions are answered.
• Assist in achieving service department sales, customer satisfaction, and retention goals.
• Handle warranty claims, service contracts, and repair documentation as required.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with dealership policies.
