Service Advisor - CDJR Aberdeen
About The Position
The Service Advisor is responsible for serving as a liaison between the Service Department technicians and the parts department by maintaining customer satisfaction. This role involves greeting customers, determining the course of action for vehicle service, obtaining customer authorization, writing up service needs, and providing accurate estimates for cost and completion time. The Service Advisor must communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs and maintenance, possess knowledge of warranty and service/insurance policies, and keep customers informed of their vehicle's prognosis. Additionally, the role includes calling customers to set appointments and answering telephones in a timely manner, as well as attending required training and department meetings.
Requirements
- High School Diploma and one year of related sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current valid driver’s license
- Good reading, writing and math skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Provide outstanding customer service
- Ability to work retail hours
- Computer proficient
Responsibilities
- Meet & greet customers with courtesy and efficiency
- Provide an outstanding guest experience
- Determine the course of action for vehicle service and obtain customer authorization
- Write up service needs and give customers accurate estimates for dollar amount and completion time of work
- Communicate effectively with customers to achieve satisfactory repairs and sell necessary repair or maintenance services
- Demonstrate knowledge of warranty and service/insurance policies
- Keep customers informed and advise them of their vehicle's prognosis
- Call customers to set appointments
- Answer telephones in a timely manner
- Attend and complete required training and department meetings
