About The Position

McGrath Davenport Used Car Superstore is seeking a customer-focused and organized Service Advisor / Writer to join our busy service department. This position serves as an important connection between our customers and technicians, helping ensure every customer receives clear communication, knowledgeable recommendations, and a positive service experience from start to finish. This role is a great fit for someone with experience as a Service Advisor, Service Writer, Automotive Service Consultant, Customer Service Advisor, or other customer-facing automotive professional. We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

  • Previous Service Advisor, Service Writer, automotive service, or customer-facing experience preferred
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple customers, repair orders, and priorities throughout the day
  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
  • Comfortable navigating computer systems and learning dealership-specific software and technology
  • Customer-first mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Willingness to complete a pre-employment background check

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and serve as their primary point of contact throughout the service process
  • Listen to customer concerns, document vehicle needs, and create accurate repair orders
  • Coordinate with Automotive Technicians to communicate repair and maintenance needs
  • Review inspection results and clearly explain recommended maintenance and repairs to customers
  • Present service recommendations, estimates, and maintenance options while helping customers make informed decisions
  • Provide timely updates regarding vehicle status, repairs, costs, and completion times
  • Maintain accurate repair order and customer information within dealership systems
  • Help maintain an organized, efficient, and customer-focused service department
