Requirements

  • Superb customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced service environment
  • Proficiency in ERP service software, or the ability to learn new systems quickly (Netsuite experience a plus)
  • Excellent attention to detail with documentation and work orders
  • Ability to colloborate with mechanics, service leadership, parts teams and sales
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience as a Service Writer, Parts Specialist, or similar role

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical knowledge in automotive, agriculture, heavy equipment or related repair industries is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers bringing equipment in for service
  • Create and manage work orders from start to finish
  • Prepare accurate repair estimates based on technician diagnostics
  • Coordinate with the Service Team Lead, Parts Department, Warranty Manager and Equipment Consultant
  • Keep customers updated on repair status and timelines
  • Ensure work orders, parts usage, and service records are accurate and complete
  • Invoice customers when repairs are complete and confirm customer satisfaction
  • Help keep the shop running efficiently by minimizing turnaround time
