About The Position

Weingartz is seeking a Service Advisor for their Power Equipment division in Utica, MI. This role involves assisting customers with parts selection, service scheduling, and general service inquiries through various communication channels. The Service Advisor will create and manage service orders, answer basic technical questions, and support equipment loading/unloading. A key aspect of this role is delivering exceptional customer service by following the G.R.E.A.T. Customer Service Process, ensuring prompt assistance, accuracy, and service quality. The position also requires maintaining a clean work environment, understanding customer-facing operations, and assisting with warehouse responsibilities like inventory organization and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Proficient with standard desktop software; proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred.
  • Careful attention to detail, including accurate data entry and documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic mechanical and technical understanding; experience in parts or service environments preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with light supervision in an efficient manner.
  • Demonstrates commitment to customer first behavior and team collaboration
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with parts selection, service scheduling, and general service inquiries in person, over the phone, via email, and through text communication.
  • Create, process, and manage parts and service orders accurately while ensuring clear communication and customer expectations.
  • Answer basic technical questions and direct customers to appropriate solutions, resources, or next steps.
  • Safely support the loading and unloading of equipment as needed.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by following the G.R.E.A.T. Customer Service Process.
  • Ensure customers are assisted promptly while maintaining a high level of accuracy and service quality.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of customer-facing operations and follow procedures that help minimize loss, waste, and rework.
  • Handle inbound, outbound, and in-store customer communications and support activities.
  • Assist with warehouse responsibilities including inventory organization, cleanliness, and inventory accuracy as needed.
