The Service Administrator is a hybrid administrative and technical role that supports both customer service operations and pipette maintenance activities within the Calibration Lab. Under the direction of the Calibration Lab Manager, this position is responsible for customer communication, quotations, purchase orders, equipment receiving and shipping, and service documentation. This role requires a combination of strong organizational, customer service, and hands-on technical skills to ensure a high-quality customer experience and efficient lab operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and use good judgment.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to keep accurate records.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process customer equipment for calibration, repair, and preventative maintenance.
  • Prepare customer quotes and process purchase orders.
  • Communicate with customers regarding service updates, findings, and approvals.
  • Maintain accurate work orders and service records in the CRM system.
  • Coordinate equipment shipping and receiving activities.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on Thermo Fisher Scientific and other manufacturers' manual and electronic pipettes.
  • Support basic pipette service and maintenance activities.
  • Follow service procedures and quality standards.
  • Assist in maintaining an organized and efficient laboratory environment.
