About The Position

The Wesleyan is hiring a full-time Server for its Independent Living community in Georgetown, Texas. The Server helps provide residents with an excellent dining experience through meal preparation and setup, attentive service, and dining-area cleaning. The role calls for outstanding customer service and a passion for serving seniors. The schedule is 10:30 AM–7:00 PM on varying days, including weekends.

Requirements

Experience as a Server in a restaurant, healthcare, education, or senior living environment.
Outstanding customer service and a passion for providing an excellent dining experience.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Ability to evaluate customer satisfaction and responsiveness.
Service-oriented approach and desire to help customers.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Passion for working in a senior living community.
Alignment with and enthusiasm for The Wesleyan’s culture and core values.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare drinks, salads, foods, and desserts and set them up as directed.
Prepare the dining room and trays for meals.
Greet residents and ensure their dining experience is going well.
Serve meals to residents in the dining room and/or their rooms, and check for requests for seconds and substitutions.
Perform general cleaning duties, which may include washing dishes, pots, and pans; cleaning equipment, dining rooms, floors, tables, and work areas; and disposing of trash.
Complete other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef and/or Director of Dining Service.
