About The Position

Café by day, bistro by night, Café Lunette proudly plays host to morning coffee and viennoiserie, breezy business lunches, weeknight rendezvous, lazy Sunday brunches and everything in between. Our menus feature a greatest hits list of timeless French classics — from traditional onion soup and steak tartare, to comforting boeuf Bourguignon and seafood bouillabaisse. On weekends, we invite our guests to rise and shine for a rich variety of pastries, crêpes, galettes and breakfast sandwiches. Under the direction of the General Manager, we are looking for a Server at Cafe Lunette who will be accountable for maintaining strong knowledge about all food and beverage offerings in the restaurant. By adhering to the steps of service they answer questions, provide recommendations and create a positive guest experience. Servers maintain a clean section and monitor food quality to ensure all items are held to Freehand presentation standards. Through knowledge, accuracy and efficiency our servers provide the upmost satisfaction to our guests.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years serving experience in a similar environment.
  • Smart Serve Certification
  • The ability to maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum, staying calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent observation skills & high attention to detail, offering a helping hand to all guests whenever needed, before they even need to ask.
  • Full-time availability in the summer
  • Strong classic cocktail knowledge
  • Wine knowledge
  • The ability to work effectively alone
  • Passion for food, beverage and providing excellent customer service
  • Strong communication skills
  • The ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing a bar program in the past is considered an asset
