About The Position

Shaner Hotels has an amazing opportunity at our 83 room Courtyard Marathon Florida Keys. This hotel is conveniently located on the Florida Bay in Marathon, offering easy access to the area's top destinations, including Aquarium Encounters, Big Pine Key and Key West. We offer our guests a well-equipped fitness center; on-site dining for breakfast, dinner, and cocktails; and an outdoor infinity pool with hot tubs and a tiki bar. The Server position ensures compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Food and Beverage Department. This role maintains food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications. The Server also ensures communication with the General Manager, all other Department Managers, Supervisors and Staff. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of experience in a similar position dealing with the public.
• Minimum of 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
• ServSafe and/or food safety training.
• Alcohol awareness training (such as TIPS).

Nice To Haves

• High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders, retrieve, and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages, and food orders to guest tables according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently.
• Collect payments.
• Assist in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment.
• Ensures compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Food and Beverage Department.
• Maintains food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications.
• Ensures communication with General Manager, all other Department Managers, Supervisors and Staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
