About The Position

Morrison Living is hiring immediately for part time SERVER positions. This role involves taking food and beverage orders and efficiently delivering items to dining room guests. You will be responsible for greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and delivering food professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards. The position requires demonstrating a complete understanding of menu items, ingredients, and accommodating reasonable guest requests. You will also communicate with back-of-the-house staff, handle cash transactions, and promote a clean and safe environment. This role requires maintaining sensitivity and confidentiality regarding guest information and promptly addressing any complaints or issues. Additionally, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining the dining room, operating various equipment, and collaborating with other departments for special events.

Requirements

• 2 years of prior serving experience required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly in the dining room and take food and beverage orders efficiently.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally, maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.
• Follow up with guests to assist with any additional needs or requests.
• Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients.
• Advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations and accommodate reasonable requests.
• Demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
• Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodation of special requests.
• Exhibit exceptional communication skills and the ability to get along well with others.
• Remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff.
• Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
• Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information.
• Promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to the supervisor.
• Ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service periods and maintain cleanliness.
• Operate a variety of equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
• Work with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
