About The Position

LCB Senior Living is hiring a part-time Server at The Residence at Orchard Grove in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. The role provides customer service and supports a restaurant-style dining atmosphere for residents and guests. Servers work with culinary leadership to support resident satisfaction, meal service, dining enhancement programs, and special events. The listed wage range is $17.50–$20.50 per hour, based on years of experience.

Requirements

• Finger and hand dexterity to handle and manipulate instruments and equipment.

• Ability to lift and carry objects; the posting states a minimum of fifteen (25) lbs.
• Ability to push and pull carts and continuously walk, sit, and stand.
• Ability to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below the waist, and reach above shoulder height as tasks require.
• Ability to use good body mechanics.
• Ability to type and use a computer.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service and promote a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
• Work with the Culinary Services Director and/or Executive Director to support resident satisfaction with food and dining programs.
• Set tables according to LCB standards.
• Serve beverages to residents and guests as requested.
• Review the daily menu with residents.
• Take and deliver accurate meal orders to residents and guests.
• Remove used or soiled plates, utensils, glasses, and linens from the dining room as needed.
• Assist with preparation and execution of dining enhancement programs.
• Follow Quality Enhancement standards and standard food safety practices.
• Assist with preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals.
• When applicable, acquaint new residents with menus, seating, dining options, and hours.
• Clean and sanitize carpets, tables, chairs, condiment containers, and dining-room equipment.
• Communicate residents’ likes and dislikes to the food service director and/or dining room manager for menu planning and resident satisfaction.
• Promote teamwork and cooperation among staff.
• Attend pre-meal stand-up meetings for dining and kitchen staff.
