About The Position

The Server provides residents and guests with a high-quality dining experience and delivers Platinum Service® through responsive, timely, courteous, and caring interactions. The role serves meals and beverages, takes orders, answers menu questions, supports residents during meals, and maintains clean and properly set dining areas. The Server may also assist with special events, parties, and other dining rooms as needed. This position has no direct reports or supervisory responsibilities. Employees are expected to follow company policies and procedures and perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Be capable of working with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset people.
Communicate sufficiently and effectively with supervisors, team members, residents, and families.
Frequently lift or carry 30 pounds and occasionally lift or carry 50 pounds.
Frequently push or pull up to 30 pounds and occasionally push or pull up to 50 pounds.
Perform bending, twisting, and stooping; reach at or below shoulder level; and frequently stand or walk.
Execute tasks independently and express oneself clearly and effectively.

Food service and/or hospitality experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve meals that are appetizing in appearance and comply with portion-control procedures.
Distribute and collect menus as needed; take meal orders, serve food and beverages, and answer menu questions.
Follow sanitary regulations and provide Platinum Service® during each dining experience.
Set up meal trays, food carts, and dining rooms with utensils, condiments, and napkins; clean common areas before and after meals.
Assist in checking resident trays before distribution.
Pour hot and cold beverages and assist residents with opening containers and condiments as needed; attend to resident and guest needs during meals.
Prepare and deliver snacks for community events and parties.
Bus tables during and after meals.
Support other dining rooms during events and activities as needed.
Clean the dining room according to assigned cleaning schedules.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
