Server ensures the Hotel’s high service standards are reached and exceeded throughout all aspects of the guests’ dining experience. This guest-facing role is key for establishing meaningful relationships with guests by using a personalized approach and technical expertise to create the ultimate dining experience.

Requirements

  • Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment demonstrating patience and a friendly, professional demeanor.
  • Great active listening skills.
  • Exceptional organization and time management.
  • A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure and collaborate with other bussers, cooks, and staff.
  • Knowledge of food service regulation and proper food and alcohol handling procedures.
  • Willing to work flexible schedules that include days, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to problem solve and recover service misses.
  • Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.
  • Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system.
  • High school diploma.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and deliver orders in a timely manner.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a luxury environment is a plus.
  • Experience in 5 stars Forbes restaurant is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome guests upon arrival.
  • Take food and drink orders from guests accurately and with a positive attitude.
  • Uphold a friendly and professional demeanor using luxury verbiage and positive body language.
  • Strive to connect with and engage guests in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Write guests’ food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff.
  • Display knowledge of the menu and daily specials, with the ability to make suggestions while taking into consideration dietary needs or restrictions.
  • Engage with guests frequently throughout duration of dining experience to ensure satisfaction with meal and service.
  • Seek to create memorable moments by recognizing special occasions and celebrations.
  • Communicate with the culinary staff to ensure all orders are prepared correctly.
  • Resolve problems and guest complaints swiftly and gracefully while using appropriate service recovery procedures and/or involving management were needed.
  • Collect payments from tables.
  • Performing cleaning duties such as at service station, around kitchen and in dining area as needed.
  • Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes.
  • Assist food preparation staff when necessary.
  • Responsible for his/her section for cleanness and organization, before during after service
