About The Position

Join our team at The Grill, a vibrant lakeside restaurant known for fast, casual dining at Clemson Marina! As a Server, you'll be the face of our restaurant, ensuring guests enjoy a delightful dining experience with breathtaking waterfront views. This role is seasonal, with potential for continued employment based on performance, availability, interest in year-round work, and business needs. Extension decisions are evaluated at the end of the season and consider off-season operational demands and existing staffing levels.

Requirements

Customer service experience, especially in food service or retail (training provided for those without prior experience)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Positive attitude and excellent teamwork abilities
Responsible and trustworthy
Clear background check and drug screening.
Full weekend availability

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a server or in a similar role

Responsibilities

Greet all guests warmly within 30 seconds of their arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Assist guests in selecting food and beverages by promoting daily specials and sharing your genuine recommendations and preferences.
Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them effectively to the kitchen.
Efficiently assemble and deliver orders to the appropriate tables, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Provide prompt and attentive service, ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit.
Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional, swift manner.
Process payments and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless dining experience.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, chairs, and the dining area.
Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation standards.
