About The Position

The Server takes food and beverage orders, enters them quickly and in the proper sequence, and serves guests in their assigned section as well as other sections. The role coordinates with the kitchen to support timely service and food quality, and provides guests with high-quality service. The Server also performs other duties as directed by the business or assigned by management. This is a non-exempt position and typically reports to the Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, or General Manager, depending on local requirements.

Requirements

Meet the state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages.
At least 6 months of closely related serving experience.
Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Ability to walk, bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions.
Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, and converse comfortably with customers.
Frequently immerse hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions.

Nice To Haves

Work experience in a high-volume or fast-casual dining restaurant environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Take food and beverage orders, enter and place orders, deliver them, check back with guests after food delivery, and respond to additional needs.
Maintain table appearance by pre-bussing, monitoring drink levels, removing clutter, and providing adequate napkins.
Present checks and provide change as needed.
Follow customer service, adult beverage, and cash-handling policies and procedures.
Keep the station clean and appropriately set up and take down station tables.
Coordinate with the kitchen to support timely service and food quality.
Perform other responsibilities as directed by the business or assigned by management.
