About The Position

To take food and beverage orders from guests and to serve same in a prompt, friendly and professional manner. This role involves ensuring guest satisfaction in Restaurant Service Operations, performing all service procedures in an exemplary manner, and adhering to Forbes Standards and department standards. The server must possess knowledge of the food to be served, communicate clearly and effectively with charm and courtesy, and be able to offer and up-sell beverages and extra options. Maintaining excellent standards of Health and Safety in line with hotel policy and CAL/OSHA requirements is crucial, as is a teamwork orientation towards co-workers. The server will respond to guest concerns and questions, resolving them to the guest's satisfaction by troubleshooting or directing complaints to the appropriate department head.

Requirements

  • Minimum TWO Years working in Fine dining, high-volume experience
  • Must have a current food handler's card
  • Clean work habits and attention to detail
  • Resourceful and well organized
  • Ability to multi-task & maintain poise and a sense of humor amidst a fast paced and demanding environment
  • Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system
  • Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance
  • Standing and walking eight-hour shifts
  • Required, and must have open availability, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Luxury hospitality experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Take guest food and beverage orders and serve each round with guest check.
  • Record all drinks and food items properly on POS.
  • Offer menus when requested.
  • Help seat guests.
  • Request identification when legal age is in question.
  • Ensures guest satisfaction in Restaurant Service Operations.
  • Performs all service procedures in an exemplary manner.
  • Follow Forbes Standards.
  • Adheres to department and ETC standards.
  • Ensures knowledge of food to be served at the Lounge.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with Charm and Courtesy.
  • Is familiar with and able to offer and up-sell beverages and extra options.
  • Maintains excellent standards of Health and Safety in line with hotel policy and CAL/OSHA requirements.
