About The Position

McMenamins White Eagle is hiring a Part-Time Server. McMenamins is a family-owned company operating in Oregon and Washington, offering handcrafted beverages and pub fare in a variety of locations, from neighborhood pubs to historic hotels. Servers are expected to handle all tasks from opening to closing in a multi-tasking environment, including greeting customers, seating guests, providing knowledgeable service, taking and delivering food and beverage orders, bussing tables, restocking supplies, using a POS system, collecting payments, dishwashing, general cleaning, maintaining customer relations, and setting up/breaking down service areas. Servers must be organized, balance their books at the end of each shift, and turn in all receipts. The role requires physical stamina, mental agility, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, as well as working independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

• Must be 21+ years of age
• At least 1 year of Serving experience required
• Obtain and maintain a current food handlers card and OLCC card
• Enjoy working in a busy customer service-oriented environment

Nice To Haves

• Bartending experience preferred
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays preferred

Responsibilities

• Greeting incoming customers
• Working with the host station in seating guests or directing them to choose their preferred seating
• Providing a level of knowledgeable service to tables
• Taking food and beverage orders
• Delivering products in a timely manner
• Serving food, beer, wine and spirits
• Bussing tables and restocking supplies
• Placing orders on a POS system
• Collecting payment
• Dishwashing
• General cleaning
• Working outside and indoors
• Maintaining customer relations with all guests
• Set up and breakdown of service and work areas so they are well stocked and organized for efficient and safe service
• Balancing bookwork at the end of every shift
• Turning in all appropriate cash and non-cash receipts
