Server 3:30pm-7:30pm $15-21.50 (Part Time)
About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Server to join our team at Wellington. This role is crucial in creating a welcoming and positive dining experience for residents. The Server will be responsible for greeting residents, preparing tables, bussing tables, and communicating any observed changes in resident appetite or behavior to supervisors and Wellness staff. The ideal candidate will have a positive and energetic attitude, be at least sixteen years of age, and possess strong communication skills in English. This position requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop for extended periods, as well as the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds. The Server will also assist residents with mobility and ensure a clean and tidy dining environment.
Requirements
- At least sixteen (16) years of age.
- Read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Active role requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
- Criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Greet residents and make them feel welcome.
- Be present in the dining room, mingle, and entertain.
- Foster an environment where residents can connect.
- Prepare tables for service, salads for the next meal, or roll silverware.
- Bus tables.
- Sweep floors.
- Communicate with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed, as well as when residents are absent from meals.
