About The Position

The Server at Velvet Buffalo Modern Italian serves customers and provides excellent customer service by helping guests select food and beverages, presenting order choices, and maintaining a warm, friendly atmosphere throughout the dining experience. The role contributes to memorable guest experiences and supports the restaurant’s service and cleanliness standards.

Requirements

Weekend availability is required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, and counting change.
Legible handwriting.
Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
U.S. work authorization is required.

Nice To Haves

One year of server experience.
Experience with MICROS and Square POS systems.

Responsibilities

Take customers’ food and beverage orders.
Assist with setting tables and rearranging them to accommodate parties.
Maintain cleanliness in the restaurant, wait station, and kitchen service area, meeting applicable state and local health board requirements.
Receive guest payments and ensure the accuracy of guest checks and payment methods.
Respond to customer inquiries and comments in person and by phone with timely, knowledgeable information.
Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
Bring a positive attitude and help create a fun, memorable experience for guests.
