About The Position

Provide polished, attentive food and beverage service to members and guests of the 1922 Club, a private, full-service restaurant combining the comfort and personal connection of a country club with the service standards and atmosphere of an upscale steakhouse. This position is responsible for creating a refined yet welcoming dining experience through knowledgeable menu guidance, precise execution, thoughtful table service, and genuine hospitality.

Requirements

Previous full-service restaurant, private club, fine-dining, or upscale hospitality experience preferred.
Strong service instincts with a genuine commitment to hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences.
Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to learn and confidently discuss food, wine, spirits, cocktails, and other beverage offerings.
Experience operating a restaurant point-of-sale system preferred.
Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, allergen awareness, and responsible alcohol service practices.
Ability to manage multiple tables and priorities while maintaining attention to detail and composure.
Ability to work collaboratively with culinary, beverage, service, and management teams.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely lift or carry up to 30 pounds.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, game days, and special events based on the Club’s operating schedule.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, attentive, and professional restaurant service in accordance with the 1922 Club’s established steps of service.
Welcome members and guests, guide them through the dining experience, and anticipate their needs throughout each visit.
Take, enter, course, and deliver food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of menu items, preparation methods, ingredients, beverage offerings, and daily features.
Make thoughtful food and beverage recommendations based on guest preferences and provide appropriate pairing suggestions when requested.
Demonstrate working knowledge of food allergies, dietary restrictions, and specialized diets. Communicate all applicable needs clearly and accurately to the culinary team.
Coordinate closely with culinary, bar, and support teams to ensure proper timing, presentation, and delivery of each course.
Maintain assigned tables throughout service by monitoring beverage levels, clearing and resetting appropriately, replacing necessary serviceware, and ensuring the dining experience remains polished and comfortable.
Conduct quality checks after food and beverages are delivered and respond promptly to any concerns or additional requests.
Professionally address member or guest concerns and promptly communicate relevant information to a supervisor or manager when additional assistance is needed.
Maintain familiarity with member preferences and service notes to help create personalized and memorable dining experiences.
Prepare the dining room before service, including completing opening side work, inspecting table settings, and ensuring the restaurant is clean, organized, and ready to receive members and guests.
Complete closing and assigned side-work responsibilities while maintaining established cleanliness, organization, sanitation, and presentation standards.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, responsible alcohol service, and workplace safety requirements.
Accurately process payments, manage checks, and operate the point-of-sale system.
Communicate professionally and respectfully with members, guests, coworkers, culinary staff, and management.
Remain composed, flexible, patient, and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Protect the privacy of members and maintain strict confidentiality regarding personal, financial, medical, or other sensitive information.
Support private dining, club programming, game-day operations, and special events as business needs require while maintaining the same high standards of hospitality and service.
Perform other duties as assigned.
