About The Position
We are looking for a highly motivated, customer focused Lobby Bar Server to join our team! The Lobby Bar Server provides timely and engaging beverage and food service in assigned bar, lounge, pool, beach, entertainment, or restaurant areas. The position requires strong beverage knowledge, active selling skills, accurate order handling, and continuous attention to guests throughout the service experience. Requirements
- Previous beverage or restaurant service experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, cocktails, and responsible alcohol service.
- Strong communication and sales skills.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors depending on assignment.
- Must meet applicable legal requirements for alcoholic beverage service.
Responsibilities
- Promptly acknowledge and greet guests in the assigned service area.
- Present beverage menus and explain cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and available food offerings.
- Make recommendations and actively promote premium and signature beverage selections.
- Take accurate orders and enter them promptly into the POS system.
- Follow established procedures for identification and responsible alcohol service.
- Deliver beverages using appropriate glassware, garnishes, and presentation standards.
- Maintain awareness of guest consumption and follow responsible alcohol service practices at all times.
- Continuously circulate through the assigned area and anticipate guest needs.
- Maintain assigned tables, lounge areas, pool areas, or other service zones in a clean and organized condition.
- Process all guest checks and payments accurately.
- Maintain control and accountability for assigned checks and transactions.
- Communicate beverage delays, unavailable products, or guest concerns promptly.
- Assist bartenders with appropriate service support during high-volume periods.
- Complete opening and closing side work and maintain adequate supplies.
- Follow resort sanitation, safety, and responsible beverage service standards.
- Assist other Food & Beverage outlets as assigned based on business needs and training.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
