About The Position

The Tryst Trading Company food group is seeking Servers to join our amazing team! Our Servers are the heart of the guest experience, with duties including, but not limited to: Providing outstanding hospitality: Greeting all guests, anticipating and promptly responding to needs, and ensuring they have an enjoyable experience from arrival to departure. Order & Menu Expertise: Taking accurate food and beverage orders, collecting payments, and maintaining detailed knowledge of all menu items (including key ingredients, allergens, and pairing suggestions). Compliance: Selling alcoholic beverages in strict compliance with government regulations. Service & Flow: Ensuring accurate and timely order delivery, constantly pre-bussing and bussing tables, and assisting with Hosting and Counter Togo service as needed. Teamwork: Assisting coworkers with tasks like bussing, food running, and stocking supplies. Operations: Performing assigned Running Sidework and Closing Sidework duties, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and following good food safety practices. Management Support: Performing any additional tasks or duties as directed by the Manager on Duty.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age to sell or serve alcohol in Washington D.C.
  • Strong verbal communication skills in English are mandatory.
  • Prior experience in the Hospitality or Restaurant industry is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities are essential.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and memorize information, particularly menu items.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
