About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a part-time Server to join our team at Westbury located at 550 Stone Valley Parkway, Columbia, MO 65203. This role involves greeting residents, fostering a welcoming environment, preparing tables and meals, maintaining cleanliness, and observing residents' dietary habits and appetite changes. The ideal candidate will be at least sixteen years old, possess 8th-grade English proficiency for communication with residents, have a positive and energetic attitude, and be physically capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The role also requires assisting residents with mobility and ensuring a criminally cleared background.
Requirements
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
- Can read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
- Must have a positive and energetic attitude.
- Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Greet residents and make them feel welcome.
- Be present in the dining room, mingle, and entertain.
- Foster an environment where residents can connect.
- Prepare tables for service, salads for the next meal, or roll silverware.
- Buss tables and sweep floors.
- Communicate with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed, as well as when residents are absent from meals.
- Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking.
- Assist persons after a fall.
