About The Position

Streets of New York is seeking enthusiastic and friendly Servers to provide guests with a memorable dining experience. Servers are the face of the restaurant and should be hardworking, able to multitask and work well with a team, and committed to outstanding service. The restaurant is a casual pizza restaurant that has served Arizona for almost 50 years.

The position is located at 6740 W Deer Valley Rd, Glendale, AZ 85308. The role is offered full-time or part-time, with an hourly rate of $12.15 plus tips. Servers should be flexible to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The restaurant is closed on major holidays.

Requirements

• Food Handler’s Certification or willingness to obtain it before starting.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States; employment authorization will be submitted through E-Verify.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a server in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests promptly with a friendly smile and positive attitude.
• Know menu items and help guests place orders based on their tastes, preferences, diets, or allergies.
• Know current promotions, specials, and offers, and apply them according to restaurant policies.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and ensure timely delivery to tables.
• Monitor guests' dining experiences and check in periodically to ensure satisfaction.
• Handle cash and credit payments accurately and efficiently.
• Keep tables clean and organized, clear dishes promptly, and maintain cleanliness in the dining area.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to support seamless service and communication.
• Follow health and safety regulations and restaurant policies.
• Lightly lift products for stocking or perform cleaning and maintenance of the dining room.
• Participate in team training, meetings, and events to enhance knowledge and skills.
