About The Position
Streets of New York is seeking enthusiastic, friendly Servers to provide guests with a memorable dining experience. Servers welcome guests, help them choose menu items, take and deliver orders, monitor satisfaction, process payments, and maintain a clean dining area. The role involves collaborating with kitchen staff, following health and safety regulations and restaurant policies, and participating in team training, meetings, and events. Light lifting may be involved when stocking products or cleaning and maintaining the dining room. The position is offered as full-time or part-time at the Glendale, Arizona location.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellent customer service.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Food Handler’s Certification or willingness to obtain it before starting.
- Positive attitude and passion for the food and beverage industry.
- Must be at least 19 years old.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility will be submitted through E-Verify.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a server in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests promptly with a friendly smile and positive attitude.
- Know menu items and help guests place orders based on their tastes, preferences, diets, or allergies.
- Know current promotions, specials, and offers and apply them according to restaurant policies.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and ensure timely delivery to tables.
- Check in periodically with guests to monitor their dining experience and satisfaction.
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Keep tables clean and organized, clear dishes promptly, and maintain cleanliness in the dining area.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to support seamless service and communication.
- Follow health and safety regulations and restaurant policies.
- Perform light lifting to stock products or clean and maintain the dining room.
- Participate in team training, meetings, and events to enhance knowledge and skills.
