About The Position

Shula’s Steak House at the Hilton University of Florida is seeking a professional and service-driven Server to deliver an exceptional dining experience. This role is responsible for maintaining a smooth and efficient restaurant operation while providing attentive, knowledgeable, and polished service to every guest.

Requirements

Previous serving experience preferred, ideally in an upscale or fine dining environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Professional appearance and demeanor
Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Basic knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service (advanced knowledge preferred)

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, prompt, and attentive service to all guests
Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them clearly to the kitchen
Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages with proper presentation
Maintain thorough knowledge of all menu items, including food, beer, wine, and spirits
Be knowledgeable about hotel amenities and other on-property dining options
Assist with daily setup and breakdown of the dining room and service stations
Ensure cleanliness and organization of tables, side stations, and overall restaurant environment
Polish and maintain flatware, glassware, and plates to established standards
Monitor food quality and service levels, addressing issues as needed
Expedite orders, verifying accuracy and presentation before service
Complete all assigned side work daily
Process guest checks and handle cash and payments according to company procedures
Foster a positive, team-oriented environment for both staff and guests
