About The Position

This is a seasonal role requiring an end date of at least October 15th. Candidates who are not available to work until October, will not be considered at this time. Live. Work. Explore. Join us for the FALL SEASON on the Food & Beverage team in Yellowstone National Park! Experience the magic of Yellowstone National Park in the fall! Enjoy cool fall temperatures, watch geysers erupt against the backdrop of vibrant fall colors, and see the amazing wildlife. As part of our Food & Beverage team for 2-3 months, you'll soak in the park's natural beauty and provide legendary hospitality to our guests in this extraordinary setting. As a Server, you would be responsible for serving and providing meals and beverages to park visitors. Collect and accurately process forms of payment, ensuring guest satisfaction. You will also be communicating with guests, answering questions and conveying general park information.

Requirements

  • Previous experience is required for this position.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize under pressure while maintaining a calm and pleasant demeanor.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Ability to absorb large amounts of information quickly: Service procedures, beverage and food menus as appropriate, operation of point of sales system.
  • Knowledge of menu, specials and features.
  • Knowledge of basic sanitation.
  • Certification in the TIPS alcohol awareness program is required. Workshops will be provided if not currently certified.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, approximately 8 hours.
  • Must be able to walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, and reach for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Work with our Hosts and Server Assistants to provide Park visitors with great dining experiences in our full service dining rooms.
  • Prompt attention, a warm welcome, informative explanations of the menu options, and professional meal service are the basics of the position.
  • Answering guest questions, directing guests to resources available to them, and sharing their own enthusiasm and knowledge of the Park take our service to the next level of excellence.
