As a Server Systems Engineering Lead, you will lead enterprise IT integration, system testing, troubleshooting, engineering reviews, and technical documentation while guiding IT systems engineers in architecting, deploying, optimizing, and securing server platforms across Windows, Linux, virtualization, and cloud environments. You will serve as the primary technical authority for the systems engineering team, providing daily direction, implementation oversight, timely engineering decisions, and hands‑on mentoring to strengthen technical depth and performance across the group. In addition, you’ll act as an on‑site technical advisor to government clients, shaping system architecture, solution design, modernization strategy, and implementation planning for mission‑critical capabilities. This role leads the end‑to‑end Windows enterprise stack, including Active Directory and Entra hybrid identity, PKI and certificate services, MCM and VMWare, Microsoft Defender, and Azure Stack HCI clusters. You will set the technical direction and guide IT systems engineers in delivering secure, modernized infrastructure. Your leadership will drive Azure cloud modernization, virtualization, automation and IaC adoption, storage consolidation, and enterprise network modernization. Working alongside cross‑functional engineering teams, you’ll solve complex challenges while enhancing the security and resilience of the Navy’s mission‑critical server and network environment.
