About The Position

Sustainability is central to their business. The Server Solutions Engineer will manage and maintain cloud-hosted server environments, ensuring optimal security, system integrity, and performance. This role contributes to company standards and strategies for Hosting services, involving configuration and management of servers across various operating systems, system installation, solutioning company requirements, and performing necessary analysis. The engineer will proactively enhance server performance and reliability, design and implement enterprise technology solutions, and stay current with industry advancements. The position also involves participation in IT-related projects, lean activities, and M&As.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related IT technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of IT technical experience in server management and support, with a strong understanding of server architecture and operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix, etc.)
  • Proficiency in server virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure), and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with other teams and leaders to achieve a positive, productive outcome.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain server systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Handle tier 2 support escalations from Server Administrators, application teams, and other internal customers.
  • Identify and articulate technical challenges and risks, providing effective solutions.
  • Engineer and implement system solutions for internal customers utilizing appropriate technologies.
  • Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to enhance overall service reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and improve server architecture.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to server configurations, procedures, and policies.
  • Develop security configurations to safeguard server data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Configure and manage cloud-based server environments.
  • Provide technical server solutions for business requirements.
  • Participate in diverse IT projects, business projects and strategic decisions.
  • Deliver innovative solutions to challenging customer problems.
  • Leverage lean agility to drive process improvements and automation leading to better employee experiences.
  • Partner with our business partners in projects and M&A activities to solution and support the proper strategically secure client endpoint solution per the business’ needs.
