About The Position

The Server MB Repair Tech L3 is responsible for troubleshooting Server MB at component level. The assignment will be ranging from doing diagnostics, isolating Server MB issue, replacing components, soldering and fixing Server MB. Daily Responsibilities include identifying Server MB problems, checking repairability, troubleshooting and repairing Server MBs, following repair instructions, performing component-level solder work, cleaning flux residue, checking for solder defects, verifying polarity, performing quick tests, organizing parts and tooling, meeting KPIs, reporting KPIs, conducting ESD audits, and utilizing company time efficiently. Work assignments may change based on project needs. Warehouse Efficiencies include maintaining a positive work environment, open feedback, and keeping the warehouse organized and clean. Team Building/Leadership involves maintaining a positive work environment, supporting company culture, and fostering a healthy and safe work environment.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Must have Excel knowledge and experience to read instructions and track data.
Need good analytical and troubleshooting skill.
Must have good attention to details.
Requires customer service focus.
Need to be a team player.
Requires demonstrated ability to read, and follow written instructions and ideas.
Must be able to read schematic, multi-meter and oscilloscope.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks concurrently, meet deadlines and work independently.
Hands-on and has ambition and drive to succeed - “Makes things happen”.
Goal oriented and must be accustomed to achieving results through teamwork.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Prefer college degree in related electronics field.
Prefer over 12 Months experience in computer repair or related field.

Responsibilities

Identify Server MB problem and narrow down issue.
Check for CID and make sure the Server MB is repairable before repair is performed.
Troubleshoot Server MBs and repair.
Follow repair instructions and operational procedures.
Perform solder work on component level as needed.
Check for excessive flux residue and solder and clean using alcohol and cloth.
Check for cold and short solder pads.
Check for Solder Bridge.
Check for shifted pads and pins.
Check for correct polarity.
Do quick test to make sure Server MB is good before sending to test team.
Organize good parts and non-conforming parts.
Organize repair tooling and mockup.
Meet and exceed KPI defined to meet the business and operational requirement.
Turn in KPI report on time, end of the working day.
Check and keep record for ESD Audit daily.
Utilize the company’s time to be efficient and productive.
When required, work assignment can changed based on project needs like inspection, solder, testing, data input.
Be able to meet KPI.
Keeps warehouse organized and clean at all times.
