About The Position

DoubleTree by Hilton Ocean Point Resort, a Colwen Hotels property, is seeking an experienced and friendly Part Time AM Server/Barista to join our team. In this position, you will split your time between the Barista and Server roles, providing memorable experiences for our guests. The ideal candidate will be quick on their feet, possess a positive, upbeat attitude, and enjoy interacting with people.

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to work 7-day rotational schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience as a server preferred

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and welcome each guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly greeting (use guest name whenever possible)
• Take orders from guests and deliver to appropriate person to execute
• Answer questions regarding the menu
• Maintain knowledge of all menu items and composition
• Take food and beverage orders and deliver to the kitchen
• Delivers food, beverages, condiments and other requested items
• Ensure that food is prepared correctly and to the guest’s satisfaction; return incorrect or improperly cooked items to the kitchen
• Collect plates and clear table as guests finish their meal
• Adhere to all applicable Colwen and brand standards for food and beverage service and compliance with state liquor policies
• Clean designated areas in accordance with defined procedures
• Ensure sideboards are adequately stocked
• Set tables to standards, and that all items are clean and in good repair
• Prepare guest checks and collect payment
• Assist with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments
• Perform other related duties as assigned, you may be required to perform a variety of duties in multiple departments during a shift
