About The Position

This position requires an individual to be detail-oriented, familiar with current sanitation procedures, possess excellent communication skills, anticipate guest’s needs, and work closely with co-workers. The Server Assistant will have a complete understanding of the menu, follow sequence of service standards, perform all side work duties as assigned, converse with guests and address needs as required, and work with the bartender on stocking and cleaning areas of the bar as required. This role also involves maintaining and inventorying equipment on a monthly basis to ensure adequate counts for service.

Requirements

Six months restaurant experience (bussing, serving, and/or bartending).
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear and taste or smell.
Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
