About The Position

Server Assistant at Holeman and Finch Public House. We are looking for Server Assistants to join our team of hospitality professionals. Holeman and Finch is a classic gastropub, presenting artisanal twists on classic dishes with a whole animal, whole vegetable philosophy. With a robust wine list and original, inspired cocktails, there's something for everybody at every time of day. The charming space is filled with cozy booths and over 150 pieces of thoughtfully curated art. In every corner, the restaurant nods to the vibrant arts scene found in Midtown.

The Server Assistant is a key role in the restaurant, acting as support to servers, bartenders, and management in providing excellent guest service. You will actively tend to guest needs, setting the space for service, polishing, clearing, and resetting tables, and refilling beverages. You will be an active communicator with your front of house team, communicating guest requests and assisting servers with caring for tables.

Requirements

• Weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) availability required
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• 1+ year(s) of relevant server/server assistant experience
• Able to move and/or lift heavier product
• Able to stand for long periods of time; occasionally kneel, bend, and crouch as required to reach items at varying height levels
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment calmly and effectively

Responsibilities

• Setting up the restaurant in preparation for and during service
• Set up and maintain clean, organized service stations according to brand standards; restocks all items as needed throughout shift
• Delivering food and beverage to tables, pouring water, and clearing tables between courses
• Work as a team player, helping your fellow team with guest interactions and duties to contribute to a positive working environment
• Consistent adherence to the uniform policy
• Reports for duty on time and manages one’s shift, communicating with the management team when leaving their station for breaks or family meal
