Server Assistant - Uchiko Miami Beach
About The Position
Hai Hospitality's Uchiko Miami Beach is accepting applications for Server Assistant. In this role, you will support service on every level and help create memorable guest experiences. We will teach you everything you need to know to be successful and will develop you into an excellent server as quickly as your potential allows! Server Assistants earn an average of $800+ per week. Who We Are: Uchiko, child of Uchi, is the offspring of James Beard Award‑winning Chef Tyson Cole's original non‑traditional Japanese concept. While the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, Uchiko takes a fiery turn bringing smoke and char alongside the fresh and clean flavors that define Uchi. Hai Hospitality is an exciting, multi-concept, emerging restaurant group based in Austin, Texas. Our award-winning restaurant concepts include Uchi, Uchiko, Uchiba, and Loro in Austin, Texas; Uchi, Uchiko, and Loro Houston; Uchi, Uchiba, Uchiko, and Loro Dallas; and Uchi in Denver, Miami, LA, and Scottsdale.
Requirements
- Must be able to effectively communicate with guests and other employees.
- Detect and identify safety issues, and comply with safety guidelines and standards.
- Lift and carry trays, dishes, equipment and goods up to 50 lbs.
- Must have the ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Bend, stoop and reach to access various areas and items.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment.
- Ability to work in a variety of temperatures, both hot and cold.
- Ability to work in close proximity to coworkers in a crowded kitchen or serving area.
- Tolerate exposure to potential allergens and food odors.
- Maintain a professional and hygienic appearance, including proper uniform and personal grooming.
- Understand directives and communicate effectively with Leadership and coworkers.
Responsibilities
- Support service on every level and help create memorable guest experiences.
- Stock inventory and perform restocking duties.
- Keep a near and organized workspace, including proper storage of supplies and cleaning of surfaces.
- Move quickly and efficiently to respond to customer needs.
- Reconfigure seating arrangements by lifting, pushing, or pulling objects such as tables and chairs.
- Use kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, such as ovens, grills, and knives.
