About The Position

Fairmont Waterfront is seeking a Seasonal Server Assistant to join their team from July to October 2026. This role involves assisting Food & Beverage Servers in all aspects of the dining experience, ensuring guest satisfaction through professional and friendly service. The Server Assistant will be responsible for setting up side stations, possessing full knowledge of menu items and beverage lists, and adhering to all safety and sanitation policies. Availability for a variety of shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays, is required.

Requirements

• Previous service experience an asset
• Previous Point of Sale system experience an asset
• Excellent Communication and Organizational skills
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
• Canadian work authorization

Responsibilities

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Assist Food & Beverage Servers in all aspects of the dining experience
• Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
• Ensure proper set up of all side stations in the outlet
• Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions, menu items and preparation methods
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
