About The Position

As a server assistant at Toro Chicago, by Richard Sandoval, you support the Food & Beverage team and help create a memorable dining experience. You provide friendly, professional service; assist servers; deliver food to guest tables; clear and set tables; maintain side stations and water service; and complete assigned side work. The role follows brand service standards, hotel policies, and food safety and sanitation procedures. The position is permanent and full-time, with flexible shifts that may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Compensation is $15.45 per hour, and the role is tip eligible. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Offer a consistently professional, friendly greeting and engaging service.
• Provide the server with support in as many ways as possible.
• Carry food from the kitchen to guest tables with grace, precision, and speed.
• Carry a tray and tray jack weighing up to 30 pounds at a swift pace.
• Clear tables when guests are finished and coordinate with other front-of-house team members to ensure sufficient help is available.
• Set tables in the assigned section and check each setting for completeness; ensure tables, chairs, and candle holders are aligned.
• Stock side stations and maintain appropriate levels of silverware, glassware, napkins, share plates, marking trays, and condiments throughout service.
• Maintain water levels and remember guests’ water preferences.
• Perform assigned side work before, during, and after shifts.
• Follow brand policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Follow safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages.
• Follow hotel time and attendance policies and grooming and attire guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
