About The Position

The Tillery Restaurant & Lounge is seeking a part-time Server Assistant available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays to join their team. This role is an opportunity to gain experience in the restaurant industry and contribute to an excellent dining experience. The Tillery, located in the new Marriott Owings Mills, offers an upscale American dining experience with a 'Farm to Centre' concept, blending local hospitality with culinary innovation. The restaurant emphasizes a positive culture and exceptional standards for both guests and employees.

Requirements

Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
Must meet state legal age requirements.
Must speak fluent English.

Nice To Haves

Available to work various shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

Clean off all plate and glassware from tables that have left.
Re-set the table in the restaurants style, make sure the table is set properly and clean.
Make sure the chairs and floor area around the table is clean, bring all dishware to the dish area for cleaning.
Re-stocking service stands.
Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately.
Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House staff.
Communicate food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g. food allergies).
Making sure the beverage station was full (coffee, tea etc.).
Emptying trash, bring clean glassware to the bar area, getting ice, bring the linen, and fold napkins.
Answer guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items.
Inform restaurant staff about customers’ feedback or requests (e.g. when they ask for the check).
Make sure families with young children get kids menus and special silverware sets.
