This position performs serving activities with primary responsibility for greeting guests in a timely manner; making suggestions regarding menu items; taking and delivering orders; checking regularly for guests’ needs; and collecting payment for all food and beverages served. Requirements

  • 6 months related experience in a high-volume, high energy, food and beverage environment.
  • Availability to work nights and weekends as needed.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to position self to move about.
  • The employee frequently is required to operate and use server station tools and equipment; and communicate with guests, employees, and management.
  • The employee must move up to 30 pounds frequently.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Alcohol service certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Greets guests in a timely manner, takes orders, monitors alcohol consumption, serves food and beverages according to company service standards.
  • Requests proper identification from guests purchasing alcoholic beverages when legal age is questionable (under the age of 30).
  • Thoroughly knowledgeable on the menu, daily specials, and beverages.
  • Monitors and observes guests’ dining experience to respond to additional needs or requests.
  • Enters orders into POS, maintains accurate guests cover counts, totals receipts correctly, verifies sales, and collects payment for all food and beverages served.
  • Performs all duties on the server checklist.
  • Complies with company, local, state, and national regulations pertaining to food quality, cleanliness and sanitation standards, alcohol service, and safety.
  • Completes all other duties as assigned.
