About The Position

As part of the In-Room Dining and Restaurant Support team, you’ll help ensure food and beverage service runs smoothly from the kitchen to our guests—whether delivering an order to a guest room or supporting service in the restaurant. You’ll be responsible for timely and accurate deliveries, maintaining clean and organized dining areas, and assisting servers to create a seamless guest experience. All food and beverage items should be fresh, properly presented, and delivered according to the hotel’s service standards.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience within the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent communication skills with phenomenal presentation skills.
  • Adequate knowledge of food quality standards, food and wine presentation.
  • Highly motivated and flexible individual, with the ability to take initiative.
  • Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.
  • Food Handler Certification (if applicable)

Responsibilities

  • Be familiar with the proper use of room service carts, trays, ticketing, and cash-handling procedures.
  • Review orders as they arrive and prepare the correct amount of silverware, linens, condiments, glassware, and other necessary items.
  • Check all orders for accuracy, presentation, quality, and completeness before delivery.
  • Properly cover and place orders on the cart or tray, adding water and beverages last.
  • Deliver In-Room Dining orders accurately and within the expected timeframe.
  • Prepare and set up the guest’s in-room dining area according to their preferences.
  • Monitor meal completion and delivery times. If delivery will be more than five minutes past the estimated time, contact the guest, apologize, and provide an updated delivery time.
  • Present the guest check for signature, thank the guest by name, and ask them to call when they are ready for the service items to be removed.
  • Turn completed guest checks in according to established procedures.
  • Pick up In-Room Dining trays and carts while returning to the station and during slower periods.
  • Support restaurant service by clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables promptly and according to restaurant standards.
  • Assist servers with water service, table maintenance, pre-bussing, running food, and replenishing guest supplies as needed.
  • Ensure tables, chairs, floors, service stations, and guest-facing areas remain clean and organized throughout the shift.
  • Stock and maintain service stations with silverware, glassware, linens, plates, condiments, and other supplies.
  • Polish and organize silverware and glassware as needed.
  • Communicate with servers, kitchen staff, and leadership regarding guest needs, table status, delays, or missing items.
  • Respond promptly to spills, broken glass, and debris while following proper safety procedures.
  • Fill and clean salt and pepper shakers and maintain all tabletop items.
  • Deposit dishes, glassware, and utensils in the dish room or designated area and keep pathways clear.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties for both the restaurant and In-Room Dining.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hotel service standards.
  • Assist with responsibilities outside of this job description as needed.
