About The Position

As a server assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting our front-of-house team and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests. We are seeking individuals who are dedicated to providing exceptional service and are eager to contribute to the success of our fine-dining establishment.

Requirements

  • Prior experience of assistant service staff is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to take direction and work collaboratively with servers and kitchen staff.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift trays or bus tubs for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift trays of dishes and bus tubs weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and carry out physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare dining tables by setting up linens, flatware, glassware, and other items in accordance with established standards.
  • Continuously monitor tables for guest needs, promptly clearing empting dishes, and ensuring tables are impeccably set throughout the meal.
  • Clear and reset tables promptly after guests depart, ensuring a clean and inviting dining area.
  • Remove used dishes, glassware, and utensils from tables and transport them to the dishwashing area.
  • Wipe down and sanitize tables, chairs, and condiment containers.
  • Offer water and other complimentary items to guests, promptly refilling as needed.
  • Assist servers in delivering food and beverages to guests’ tables, ensuring timely and synchronized service.
  • Assist servers with refilling drinks, delivering food orders, and providing additional items to guests as needed.
  • Communicate with servers to ensure tables are prepared for new guests.
  • Assist kitchen staff by transporting dishes from the kitchen to the dining area.
  • Ensure that food orders are delivered to the correct tables.
  • Keep the server station and busser station clean and well-organized.
  • Restock items such as napkins, utensils, and condiments as needed.
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace trash bags when necessary.
  • Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, responding to their requests and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Help fulfill any special requests or accommodations for guests, such as arranging celebrations or dietary accommodations.
  • Address guest inquiries and concerns, escalating them to servers or management when necessary.
  • Assist with overall restaurant cleanliness, including sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning windows, and maintaining a tidy appearance.
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
