About The Position

The Server & Hosting Analyst I serves as an entry-to-journey level infrastructure resource responsible for supporting enterprise server, hosting, and virtualization environments across the Department. This position provides operational support, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementation assistance for physical and virtual server environments, operating systems, hosting platforms, storage systems, and associated infrastructure technologies. The position works collaboratively with application teams, cybersecurity, networking, clinical informatics, vendors, and operational stakeholders to maintain stable, secure, and highly available hosting services supporting business and clinical operations, including electronic health record (EHR) systems, enterprise applications, and mission-critical infrastructure. This role participates in incident response, system upgrades, patching, vulnerability remediation, disaster recovery activities, and infrastructure lifecycle management while adhering to State, departmental, and regulatory requirements related to security, privacy, and operational resiliency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution OR Associate degree in computer science, or a related technical field from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of networking related experience OR High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of networking related experience OR An equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of server operating systems, including Windows Server and/or Linux.
  • Basic understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or hosted environments.
  • Understanding of enterprise infrastructure concepts including storage, backups, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, networking fundamentals, and system monitoring.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure security principles, patching, and vulnerability management.
