Infra - Server Administrator (Korean Bilingual)
About The Position
The Server Administrator is responsible for day-to-day support and management of the enterprise server, storage, and application environment. The role builds and deploys servers for business units, coordinates projects by aligning stakeholder requirements with headquarters’ standard processes, and may manage IT infrastructure resources or team members in the future. The position also supports project teams in evaluating and recommending enterprise technology. The role monitors storage usage and forecasts demand, tracks hardware and software lifecycles, and prepares migration plans. It designs and maintains disaster recovery testing processes for required environments and presents information to IT management. The position requires occasional domestic and international travel, weekend work as part of a formal change process, and occasional after-hours support. It also requires the ability to rack and install servers as needed. The position is onsite in Warren, Ohio, and requires Korean bilingual ability.
Requirements
- Korean bilingual ability is required.
- At least 3 years of experience in a server and database environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A related bachelor's degree, or 3 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong troubleshooting methodology.
- Broad knowledge of servers and operating systems.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments.
- Knowledge of server architecture.
- Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving system and database problems.
- Basic network knowledge.
- Good customer service, communication, presentation, independent-working, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as a team player.
- Ability to rack and install servers as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of disk and SAN switch configuration, such as EMC or NetApp.
- Knowledge of Symantec NetBackup architecture.
- Knowledge of VMware virtualization configuration.
- Knowledge of DevOps tools such as Nagios, Cacti, and Jira.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Broad knowledge of network equipment.
- Microsoft certification.
- Understanding of MS Office and other standard software.
- Understanding of Active Directory and Windows system infrastructures.
- English and Korean fluency is listed as a preferred qualification, although Korean bilingual ability is also identified as required elsewhere in the posting.
