The Serology Lab Technician is responsible for testing blood and other samples for viral and bacterial disease by detecting antibodies (AB) or antigens (AG). This role involves setting up and running lab tests, reading and releasing test results, collecting and building samples for loading, and completing Coggins Federal forms as required by the USDA. The technician will exercise judgment in evaluating and reporting results, reconcile pending and queue lists daily, and perform equipment maintenance and troubleshooting activities. A strong knowledge of lab equipment and procedures, compliance with Quality Assurance policies and protocols, and awareness of quality control and calibration are essential. Consultation with senior peers on non-complex tasks is expected for learning through experience. The company emphasizes a collaborative obligation to ethical conduct and accountability to organizational values and standards. Every Associate is responsible for asking questions, seeking guidance, and reporting concerns or violations of company policy or ethical standards. Antech Diagnostics has processes in place for communication with leadership, and Associates are expected to have a commitment to integrity and uncompromising values.
